Hi, my name is John Burns! My wife and I opened Burns and Burns Family Dentistry in 1994 and have been practicing together ever since.

I, like my wife, completed my DMD at the University of Kentucky and I am a lifetime Wildcats fan. I grew up raising tobacco with my parents on our family farm in Robertson County, and I’m proud to have been able to serve the communities that I grew up in for the majority of my career. I like to spend my free time hunting, working on the farm, and traveling with my family. One of my favorite places to be is on the Williams River fishing.

Dr. Sally Pope- Burns, DMD

Hi, my name is Sally Pope-Burns! I completed my DMD at the University of Kentucky and have been practicing dentistry for over 30 years with my husband John Burns.

I grew up in Brooksville, Kentucky on a peaceful dairy and tobacco farm with my mom, dad and three siblings. Today I have three children and love spending my free time on our family farm or traveling together. Throughout my career in dentistry it has been my priority to treat all my patience as I would treat my family. I especially enjoy providing care to emergency patients and helping patients find pain relief.

Hi, my name is Haley Burns and I’m a recent graduate of the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry. My love for dentistry began when I started helping at my parents' office in the summers as a teenager.

Hi, I'm Kirstyn Daulton, RDH! I'm a proud recent graduate of Shawnee State University and now a practicing Dental Hygienist.

My interest in dentistry actually began when I had braces - I loved the experience, and it sparked a passion in me to help others feel confident in their smiles, too.

I strive to bring a friendly, welcoming energy to every patient I meet. My goal is to make each visit comfortable and positive, providing personalized oral hygiene education that supports each person's oral health at every stage of their journey.

When I'm not at work, I'm spending time with my husband and our two dogs, Diesel and Mae Mae, who keep life fun, busy, and full of love.

I'm excited to continue growing in this field and to make a difference one smile at a time!

I’ve been a Dental Assistant for 12 years — which means I’ve spent over a decade perfecting the art of calm smiles, smooth procedures, and handing instruments before the dentist even asks for them.

I’m a multitasking pro, time-efficiency wizard, and proud master of assisting with extractions (basically, if it needs to come out, I’m your person!).

I love helping patients feel at ease — especially the ones who would rather be anywhere else than in a dental chair. My goal is to make every visit as comfortable and stress-free as possible… and maybe even get a laugh or two along the way.

When I’m not at the office, you can probably find me enjoying a good cup of coffee, hanging with my girls, or reminding people to floss — because some habits die hard.

With 18 years in the dental world, I’ve seen it all, fixed most of it, and probably organized it better than it was before.

As an expanded duties dental assistant, I’m basically the Swiss Army knife of the office — from chairside assisting and lab work to calming nervous patients and troubleshooting equipment that mysteriously just stopped working.

They call me the office fixer-upper because I don’t just assist — I improve. I love streamlining systems, finding smarter ways to get things done, and keeping the day running smoother than freshly polished enamel. Whether I’m helping with a complex procedure or cheering up a patient who “hates the dentist,” I bring equal parts skill, humor, and heart to everything I do.

Smiles are contagious — and after nearly two decades in dentistry, I like to think I’ve helped spread a few million of them 😉
